Editing Journals: Officially Supported OS and Browsers

Following is a breakdown of the Basic/Enhanced functionality offered for various browsers. The Enhanced Feature Set delivers a richer experience to users who meet the Enhanced System Requirements, which include:

• Record video and audio in-page (Requires a Windows Media Encoder Download, as well as a Direct X download for the PC or a Quicktime download for the Mac)
• Drag and Drop Media Support (Requires Active X Download)

CPU Requirements

Beyond the type of browser, to properly run RCN Journal on your computer you will need:

• Internet Broadband Connection
• Windows Vista, 2000, XP-SP2, Mac OSX 10.3, 10.4
• 128MB RAM
• 500Mhz Pentium III or higher
• Minimum 200MB Free Hard Drive Space
• Media Players: Windows Media Player 7.0 or later, QuickTime 7.0 or later, Real Media Player 10 or later, Flash Media Player 8.0 or later. Recording requires Windows Media Player 9.0 and Direct X 9.0 for the PC or Quicktime 7.0 for the Mac. Viewing requires Flash Media Player 8.0. See Supported Media for more information.
• Webcam and/or microphone for recording audio and video in-page. See Enhanced Features for more information.
• Soundcard and speakers or headphones are required to hear audio and video files. See Audio/Video Settings for more information.
